ALCOHOL CONTROL
Alcohol Control
We tackle the habit rather than classifying alcohol as an addiction. Alcohol becomes a temporary habit when an individual feels unable to control it, or when it prevents them from living a normal life or associating alcohol with daily activities. The fact that alcohol is so easily available and socially acceptable may account to some extent.
When the uncontrollable desire for alcohol overrides an individual’s ability to stop drinking, they are often referred to as being alcohol dependent. In our hypnosis session I approach this issue gently and not as an aggressive addiction.
Like smoking cessation we work to break the association you have with alcohol – it’s simply no longer relevant to you anymore.
Hypnotherapy is useful for the treatment of breaking an alcohol habit. Relaxation techniques can help access an individual’s unconscious mind and uncover the root cause of this associative habit. Understanding why alcohol has become a concern and learning techniques to replace the destructive behaviour can often help those with alcohol habits. Using hypnosis to re-examine an individual’s lifestyle can lead to better coping strategies and create different attitudes towards alcohol. Once the root cause has been identified, dealing with it can begin.
